The Kargil War: A Battle for the Nation

In May 1999, Pakistani intruders occupied key heights in the Kargil sector of Jammu & Kashmir, threatening India’s territorial integrity. In a daring response, the Indian Army launched Operation Vijay, reclaiming every inch of the occupied land by 26th July 1999. The operation was one of the most challenging mountain warfare missions in modern history.
