World Students Day

Every year on October 15th, World Students' Day is observed in honour of the late Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, an aeronautical scientist, educator, and former president. Every year, India celebrates this anniversary across the country to honour Kalam's contributions to students and education. As the "People's President," Kalam is cherished, and his birthday is observed as Students' Day. Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam was born in Rameswaram, India, on October 15, 1931. On July 18, 2002, he was elected India's 11th president.

He advocated that since teachers were in charge of ensuring that pupils were proficient in their particular disciplines, they were the ones who built society. He always placed a strong emphasis on giving pupils a sense of purpose in life and teaching them the importance of fundamentals, which they should continue to use throughout their lives. Kalam spent his entire life working to improve education and the lives of students.

World Students' Day is recognised as a noteworthy occasion because it coincides with Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam's birthday, a former Indian president.
