All About Bodhi Day 2023

Every year on December 8, Japan celebrates Bodhi Day. In the lunisolar calendar, it usually occurs on the eighth day of the twelfth month. The day, called Rohatsu in Japanese, was transferred to its present date by Emperor Meiji as part of Japan's westernisation process and the adoption of the Gregorian calendar. Many people will benefit from this day, which is spiritually energising.

ITBP Raising Day 2023

On October 24, Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) celebrated its 59th raising Day. ITBP which was established in the wake of the 1962 Chinese assault and currently has 60 battalions on the ground, has a strength of roughly 90,000 people. The ITBP is one of the Central Armed Police Forces' (CAPF's) five organisations. It prevents border infractions by maintaining Vigilance along northern boundaries.
