The parents of Lord Hanuman are Mata Anjana and Kesari. Another description of him is that of the Wind God, Vayu Deva's son. Lord Hanuman devotees commemorate Maruti Nandan's birth anniversary with great fanfare on this day. People worship Lord Hanuman, go to temples, decorate shrines, get new clothes, and fast. Hanuman Jayanti falls on the Purnima Tithi of Shukla Paksha in the month of Chaitra, as per the Hindu Calendar.
