Every year, on National Youth Day, also known as Yuva Diwas, many Ramakrishna Mission centres and its branches celebrate the birthday of Swami Vivekananda with great fervour in accordance with Indian culture and traditions. Every year, from January 12 to January 16, people celebrate the National Youth Festival.
During the celebrations, there are various events such as the Great Mangal Aarti, prayer songs, religious speeches, meditations, and Sandhya Aarti. In addition, parades, speeches, readings, concerts, conferences, essay writing competitions, seminars, and other events honouring Swami Vivekananda are held at a number of colleges and universities. Students also recite writings and lectures by Swami Vivekananda as a source of inspiration.
