Young people should be honoured because they are humanity's future! The youth of today are recognised and celebrated on many days throughout the year, including National Youth Day, in many parts of the world.
The 12th of January is National Youth Day, or Vivekananda Jayanti, honouring the Hindu monk Swami Vivekananda's birthday. This day was designated as National Youth Day by the Indian government in 1984, and it has been observed as such annually in India since 1985.
Yuva Diwas, also known as National Youth Day, is observed on January 12 of each year in India. The day also commemorates Swami Vivekananda's birth anniversary. One of India's most well-known philosophers and thinkers, he also helps us recognize his contributions to Indian society on this day.
