On August 20, Sadbhavana Diwas will be celebrated with gratitude throughout India. It is recommended to commemorate the birth anniversary of the former Indian Prime Minister, Rajiv Gandhi, on Sadbhavana Diwas, also known as Harmony Day. Every year on August 20th, the Congress celebrates it by cutting a cake in order to foster unity, harmony, love, and respect for all Indian citizens, regardless of their religious beliefs. Many states across the nation host a variety of cultural festivals and competitions on this day. On this day, people celebrate by planting trees, conserving greenery, maintaining the beauty of the natural world, and safeguarding natural resources.

Rajiv Gandhi's Biography:

At forty years old, he was the nation's youngest prime minister. His tenure was from 1984 to 1989. He has significantly aided in the nation's development. To update plans for higher education, he announced the creation of a National Policy on Education.

In order to empower the rural areas of society, he established the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya System, a central government agency, in 1986 and began offering education as early as class 6.

His efforts led to the establishment of MTNL in 1986, which now distributes phone calls to rural areas.

His grandfather was Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India.

His mother was Indira Gandhi, the Indian prime minister. Following her murder, Rajiv Gandhi was appointed prime minister.

He instituted standards for reducing the Licence Raj after 1990, allowing people or companies to buy money, consumer goods, and imports without facing administrative hurdles.

Rajiv Gandhi established Panchayati Raj and instituted voting at the age of 18.

He launched the Jawahar Rozgar Yojana to provide employment for young people and vehemently endorsed youth power, asserting that the nation's development is solely dependent on the awareness of its youth.

When Rajiv Gandhi was taking part in an election campaign in 1991, an LTTE suicide bomber killed him.

Following his demise, he was granted India's highest civilian honour, the Bharat Ratna.
