History
In 1887, Ramanujan was born in Erode, Tamil Nadu, into an Iyengar Brahmin family. He was the youngest Fellow of the Royal Society when he was elected to join the London Mathematical Society in 1918. Renowned British mathematicians such as G.H. Hardy, enthralled with Ramanujan's grasp of sophisticated mathematics, acknowledged his contributions. Who Was Srinivasa Ramanujan on Maths Day?
