About  World Hindi Day


The first World Hindi Conference took place on January 10th, 1975 in Nagpur. It was resolved to recognize January 10 as World Hindi Day annually at a meeting of the follow-up committee for the World Hindi Conference held on June 8 of that year. As a result, World Hindi Day was first observed on January 10 of 2006.
To commemorate the inaugural World Hindi Conference, which took place in 1975, January 10 is designated as World Hindi Day or Vishwa Hindi Divas. Promote the usage of the Hindi language, it is observed globally.

According to estimates, Hindi is the fourth most widely spoken first language in the world, with approximately 260 million native speakers.
