International Day for Biological Diversity
The International Day for Biological Diversity was initially established by the UN General Assembly's Second Committee in late 1993, on December 29 (the day the Convention on Biological Diversity entered into effect). The UN General Assembly designated May 22 as International Day of Biological Diversity
